Success
Quotes
I've had so many downs that I knew the law of averages would be
in my favor one day. -Doug Williams
Being your own man does not mean taking advantage of anyone else.
-Flip Wilson
People see God every day; they just don't recognize Him. -Pearl Bailey
Before you marry keep both eyes open; after marriage shut one. -Jamaican
proverb
Courage may be the most important of all virtues, because without
it one cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. -Maya Angelo
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying
to please everybody. -Bill Cosby
Dream big dreams! Others may deprive you of your material wealth and
cheat you in a thousand ways, but no one can deprive you of the control
and use of your imagination. -Jesse Jackson
Nothing can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; the world
is full of unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrecorded
genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full
of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
-Calvin Collage
Live your dreams. -Les Brown
Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it
shall be opened unto you! -Matthew 7:7
Why is the third
hand on the watch called the second hand?
If a word is misspelled in a dictionary, how would we ever know?
If Webster wrote the first dictionary, where did he find the words?
Why do we say something is out of whack? What is a whack?
Why do '' slow down'' and '' slow up'' mean the same thing?
Why do '' fat chance'' and ''slim chance'' mean the same thing?
Why do we sing '' Take me out to the ball game...'' when we are already
there?
Why are they called ''stands'' when they're made for sitting?
Why do you press harder on a remote control when you know the battery
is dead?
Why do we put suits in a garment bag and put garments in a suitcase?

Dog
Gone
(humor)
|
A woman told the vet that something was
wrong with her dog. He examined it and had to tell her that the dog
was dead.
"I don't believe you,'' she said, '' I'd like a second opinion.''
The vet said that would be fine. He went into the other room and got
a cat. He put the cat up on the table with the dog, the cat sniffed
the dog, jumped down and went back to his cage.
The vet then got a black lab, put him up on the table, the lab sniffed
the dog, jumped down and went back to his cage. The vet tells the
lady again, '' Your dog is dead, that will be $600 for the exam.''
'Six hundred dollars is ridiculous, what are the charges for?'' she
exclaimed.
The vet replied, '' Fifty for me, and $550 for the cat scan and lab
work.''

Memo
from God |
I am God. Today I will
be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not
need your help. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that
you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in
the SFGTD(something for God to do) box. It will be addressed in
My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not
hold on to to it. If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair.
There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of
privilege. Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who
has been out of work for years. Should you despair over a relationship
gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like
to love and be loved in return. Should you grieve the passing of
another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve
hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children. Should your
car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of
the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.
Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer
patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine. Should you
find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking
what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live
long enough to get the opportunity. Should you find yourself the
victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities;
Remember, things could be worse. You could be them!!!!
